BEST BOOK BUYS is a shopping agent that searches a list of "dozens" of on-line booksellers' catalogues, and claims to offer a convenient way of comparing their prices for a particular book. Searches may be made by author, title, keyword, or ISBN number. Best Book Buys retrives information from the on-line booksellers' catalogues and displays the results as a list of titles (with author, format, and date). Clicking on a title displays a heading with full title, author, format, publication date, ISBN, and the publisher's price, followed by a list, arranged in order of price, from lowest to highest, that includes, for each bookseller offering that item for sale, the bookseller's name, location of the bookseller's place of business, price, shipping agent, estimated days for delivery, shipping cost, and total price. Orders are placed directly by clicking on a particular bookseller's offer.
COMMENT:
A search for "Michael Millgate" yielded 22 titles. Clicking on his Testementary Acts brought up nine booksellers offering that book at prices ranging from $20.25 to $39.43.
