AcqWeb is a site was created for professional acquisitions librarians to provide links to electronic information sources international in scope. It is divided into 10 main parts:

COMMENT:

This very comprehensive list of various resources on the WWW includes many which can be of value to scholars:

• "Verification Tools and Resources" includes links to exceptionally comprehensive lists of in-print and out-of-print book dealers worldwide, as well as links to major lists of connections to library and other collection catalogs.
• "AcqWeb's Directory of Publishers and Vendors" not only provides extensive links to publishers' electronic catalogues worldwide but to "new title notification" services some of them perform.
• "Journals, Newsletters and Electronic Discussion"supplies a comprehensive set of links to newspaper web sites around the world.
• "Reference Resources" contains links to online dictionaries, thesauri, glossaries, and biographical information sites.
• "AcqWeb Information" includes links to very many search engines, with brief comments on their uses.
