COMMENT:

The database may be browsed or searched by limited fields such as "Literary Criticism and Collections," "Poetry," "Performing Arts," and "Fiction." The "Literary Criticism and Collections" database is itself divided into "Reference" (claimed to consist of over 100 titles) and "General" (claimed to consist of 3785 titles). The former includes such major bibliographies as the ABELL and the MLA International, and more limited bibliographies as well. The "General" contains an impressively large number of titles of scholarly journals in the field of literature, and the entries for individual journals can include such information as titles, formats, publishers' addresses, editor contacts, circulation data, manuscript requirements, and the publisher's web site URL, where additional information and, sometimes, tables of contents may be found. Searching may be done by title, publisher, subject, multiple fields, and ISSN.

SUMMARY:

One of the most useful sources for publishing information about scholarly periodicals and for links to their publishers' web sites--which frequently provide such additional information as current tables of contents.
