BASIC INFORMATION:

Address: http://www.gettysburg.edu/~sflynn/teaching/hardy.html
Syllabus Heading: Thomas Hardy Seminar
Instructor: Suzanne Johnson Flynn
Instructor's E-mail Address: sflynn@gettysburg.edu
Institution: Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, PA, USA

DESCRIPTION:

A syllabus divided into three main parts:

  1. An introductory explanation of the scope, aims, and procedures of the course
  2. A list of required texts (five novels and two anthologies)
  3. A schedule of readings, visiting scholars, and student reports

ADDITIONAL REMARKS:

This course was one of three taught simultaneously at three Pennsylvania (USA) colleges: Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, and Dickinson. These were linked by sharing a common listserv, by faculty exchanges, by "video visits," and by the collaborative construction of a web site named Thomas Hardy's World (see A 32 on the TTHA LINKS page for a description and evaluation of that site).
