Patient PrivacyThe LoGrasso Health Center staff are committed to providing you with the highest quality of care. Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality is a quality standard that is upheld by all of our employees. Our staff is bound by state and federal laws regarding the disclosure of a patient’s personal health information (PHI). For example, this means we will not disclose PHI without your consent to Deans, Professors, other University staff, parents or other parties unless there is a serious danger to you or someone else. In the event of an emergency situation requiring hospitalization where it is impossible to obtain a student's permission, the parent or legal guardian will be notified by the hospital. Technology and Informed Consent: The LoGrasso Hall Health Center uses computer technology for the scheduling of patients, data collection, and note-taking. The server in which our information is kept is through Medicat LLC, which is independent from the general college system, to store the data which is encrypted and hidden and is HIPPA compliant. We make every effort possible to protect the confidential information that is entered into the computer system.
