Position Description:
Full time position. The SUNY Fredonia Center for Rural Regional Development and Governance has a grant from the H.U.D. Community Outreach Partnership Centers (COPC) to advance a community-university partnership with the City of Dunkirk (SUNY Fredonia/Dunkirk Community Partnerships). The grant funding is through the SUNY Research Foundation. The action plan for the COPC program focuses on the following:
The Director reports to the Principal Investigator of the COPC program and is an employee of the SUNY Research Foundation. Health benefits are provided.
The Director implements the action plan of the COPC resulting in services that are responsive and accountable to citizens and lead to greater educational attainment, cultural enrichment, job training, economic development, health awareness, and neighborhood empowerment. The Director works externally with neighborhood residents and community organizations to build community capacity to support change leading to more healthy neighborhoods.
