Dual Diploma Application Information

 

SUNY Undergraduate Application  - Print paper application and complete

 

Application Deadline:  Although Fredonia processes applications all throughout the year, students should try to submit their application by May 1 for the fall semester, or by November 1 for the spring semester.

 

Transcripts - Freshman and transfer applicants must submit their high school diploma and all college transcripts.  We require a minimum GPA of 2.0 or equivalent to be considered for transfer admission.

 

FSA 3 English Proficiency Report - International students must complete the FSA 3 English Proficiency Report even if their native language is English.  Students whose native language is not English are required to submit scores from at least one of the following accepted standardized tests: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).  A minimum iBT score of 64 or its equivalent is required for admission.  Test scores must be sent directly to SUNY Fredonia. Our school code for reporting the TOEFL, IELTS, and the SAT score electronically is 2539.  

 

FSA 4 Financial Statement- All international applicants must submit evidence of full financial support for all expenses at SUNY Fredonia as a condition of being issued immigration documents for F-1 or J-1 status (i.e., the Certificate of Eligibility, form I-20 or DS-2019).  Applicants must submit the FSA 4 form signed by both the applicant and the applicant's financial sponsor and an original bank statement verifying the available funds.  Both of these documents must be originals with original signatures and seals. While an admission decision can be made without the financial documentation, the I-20 or DS-2019 forms cannot be issued until both documents are received.

Dual Diploma Program Options

Admission into Programs

Students are accepted into the DDP through the ÖSS exam.
The Computer Engineering and Software Engineering Dual Diploma Programs accepts students with ÖSS-SAY-2 score.   The Public Relations and Advertising Dual Diploma Program accepts students with ÖSS-SÖZ-2 score.


*In order to be accepted into these programs, candidates are required to have at least a 210 ÖSS score in the related field of study, and at least a 250 Y-ÖSS score.

Language of Instruction

The language of instruction in SUNY programs is English.

Why DDP?

  • Students who enroll in these programs will be eligible for a degree from both Izmir University of Economics and SUNY Fredonia.
  • Students will develop their English skills during classes at IUE in Turkey as well as in a native English learning environment at SUNY Fredonia in the US.
  • The programs allow students to experience two distinctively different cultures.  Upon completing the degree, students are well-prepared to work in a multi-cultural environment and to function effectively in an international arena.
  • Upon graduation, students may apply for a 12 month permit to work in the United State.
