National Student Exchange

Welcome to the National Student Exchange Program at SUNY Fredonia!

The National Student Exchange (NSE) provides opportunities for undergraduate students to study for up to one calendar year at another NSE member college or university. With 190 colleges and universities participating throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.S Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam and the District of Columbia, there are choices available for everyone. For over 35 years NSE has been providing educational opportunities and service to over 70,000 students.

This is a chance to take courses not offered at your home university or college, enjoy a different geographic area, experience a different cultural/social environment, and explore graduate and professional schools on or near your NSE campus.

Most placements are made at the annual conference in early March so students are encouraged to apply early. For further information about NSE, please contact Mary Sasso and visit the website http://www.nse.org/ for a complete listing of all participating universities and colleges.

The NSE program at SUNY Fredonia is part of the larger International Education Center.  The Center's goal is to advance the university's commitment to raise awareness of global interdependence and celebrate the richness of cultural diversity, even if this diversity resides within Americas boarders.

Currently, SUNY Fredonia's application to join NSE is awaiting approval.  Please contact the International Education Center for further information.
