Bahamas: Tropical Islands
Course Number/Name: BIOL 450/550
Course Description: This course explores the biology of tropical islands and ends with a week at the Forfar Biological Station on Andros Island in the Bahamas. The field portion will involve investigations of coral reefs, blue holes, and the unusual subtopical pine forests of Andros Island. There will also be a community service project.

Course Dates: The in-course portion of this course, BIOL 450, will take place during Spring 2013. The field experience in the Bahamas, BIOL 550, will take place from May 4th to June 1st, 2013
Eligible Participants: 2.5 GPA, Junior and Senior Biology and ESCI Majors, Completion of BIOL 450 during Spring 2013 COMMUNITY MEMBERS WELCOME
Application Deadline: March 1
Credits: Spring Semester = 2 credits for BIOL 450 and Summer Semester = 1 credit for BIOL 550
Cost: Summer 2013 Budget - Due April 1, 2013
