Course Description: The Department of Visual Arts and New Media at SUNY Fredonia is offering the opportunity to study Renaissance painting, sculpture, and architecture for fourteen days in Florence and four days in Rome with additional day trips to Siena, Arezzo, Lucca, and Pompeii. Italy is the essential destination for students of Renaissance art and architecture with its world-class museums, Roman architecture, and Medieval and Renaissance towns. Follow in the footsteps of Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Brunelleschi, Dante, and Donatello and discover the rich cultural heritage of Italy. This is an adventure of a lifetime!
