Course Number: INED 299 - London Theatre Appreciation
Course Description: This ten day seminar in London, covers the historic traditions and contemporary trends inherent in British Art. Through a series of visits to London's major museums, art galleries, theatres and other cultural institutions, students will gain a deeper insight into the distinctive nature of British Art and Culture. We will see five plays, go back stage at the National Theatre, visit Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and ride down the Thames River to the Royal Observatory. There will also be a full day trip by private coach to Windsor Castle and the World Heritage Sites of Stonehenge and Bath. With its hot springs, Roman Baths, splendid Abbey, Costume Museum and Georgian stone crescents, Bath is a beautiful unforgettable place to visit. You will also have time to explore London on your own to do a brass rubbing at the Cafe in the Crypt, or attend a candlelight concert in St. Martin's in the Field church.
