Computer Purchasing Program Benefits

Access to Fredonia's High-Speed Internet Connection & Wireless Network

Each computer is designed to work on Fredonia's wired and wireless networks. Fredonia provides high speed "port per pillow" Internet access in each residence hall room. Software

Each Dell Computer is shipped with an Office 2003 Professional license and CD. Students purchasing Apple notebooks have the option to buy Microsoft Office X for Mac at a discounted price. Students are required to use the campus provided Symantec Norton Anti-Virus Professional Edition if they live on-campus. » More on Virus Protection...

Dell CompleteCare Service

All computer purchases through Fredonia will include Dell CompleteCare, which is a 3 year program that provides peace of mind against unintentional, accidental damage to your computer that is not covered under the standard warranty. CompleteCare service excludes theft, loss, and damage due to fire or intentional damage.

AppleCare Protection Plan

All Apple computers will include AppleCare Protection Plan, which extends your computer's 90 days of complimentary support and one-year warranty to three years of world-class support.

On Campus Assistance with computer related issues

Students that choose to live in the Residence Halls have access to the ResNet Office, which provides assistance with computer related problems. ResNet does not provide warranty support. However, ResNet will assist students in using their warranty service that comes with their computer.
