Mini DisplayPort - used in all new MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro made after 4th qtr 2008. It is also used in new notebooks from various manufacturers such as Dell.
DVI - used in MacBook Pro models from 2006 to 2008. To change from DVI to VGA, a Male DVI to Femaie VGA adapter is required.
Mini-DVI - used in MacBook Intel-based laptop, 12-inch PowerBook G4 (except the original 12-inch 867 MHz PowerBook G4, it uses Mini-VGA).
Micro-DVI used in MacBook Air produced between January-October 2008.
Mini-VGA - used in iBooks, early PowerBooks (12 inch).
