The HelpDesk Macintosh Support team has the “Casper Suites” (from JAMF Nation) software management system up and running and is ready to "Go Live!" right after the March Break (Monday, March 24th).
Casper Self-Service permits the auto installation of software updates (pushed from the Casper server), the ability to download updates as you desire (without admin privileges), or both options can be utilized.
We will be offering several orientation sessions to which you can bring a University-owned Macintosh laptop to be enrolled in Casper Self-Service. If the Macintosh you have access to in your office is a MacPro, MacMini or an iMac, we can arrange to enroll that computer remotely after the session.
We will review how to access the Self-Service portal and discuss the software updates that are planned to be available through Casper Self-Service. We will appreciate any suggestions you have for additional software updates that you use and need.
Orientation Sessions of the Self-Service functionality will be held in the Media Center Conference Room in Thompson Hall on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, April 1, 2014 2:15pm-2:45pm
No advance registration is necessary, and we hope that you can join us for one of these sessions. If you have a University laptop, bring it to the session and it can be enrolled at that time.
