Extended warranties are required and included on machines configured and purchased for use in specialty program areas. Extended warranties are highly recommended for all "critical-use" systems, such as those for which class work depends upon. Additionally, it is recommended that all computer users make regular back-ups of critical information.
In addition to the extended warranty, Dell offers "complete care" that covers unintentional damage such as damage from spills, drops, surges, and breakages.
