J-TERM FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCEDURESAll J-Term 2008 financial aid applicants must complete the 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or mail it to Federal Student Aid Programs for processing. Complete the J-Term Financial Aid Application and return it to the Financial Aid Office. As a result of J-Term enrollment being capped at 4 credit hours, J-Term financial aid applicants are eligible to apply for and receive either a Federal Pell Grant (if eligible) or a non-Federal private Alternative Loan.J-TERM 2008 FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE AT SUNY FREDONIA The two sources of financial aid funding for the J-Term aid period are the Federal Pell Grant (if eligible) and/or the "private" Alternative Loan. Financial aid applicants for the J-Term aid period should check with their lender and/or the Financial Aid Office regarding enrollment-related certification requirements. For application instructions relating to the private Alternative Loan:
J-TERM 2008 LOAN DISBURSEMENT DATE IS JANUARY 5, 2008 The Alternative Loan will be disbursed by the Office of Student Accounts to cover direct educational charges or as a refund once the student is actually attending classes totaling 3 credit hours. |
