Another Buffalo letdown, Bills lose in last seconds of Monday night game

Sports Brief

For the first time in 13 years, Monday Night Football kicked off in Buffalo on Oct. 8 against the Dallas Cowboys. Before the start of the game, the Cowboys were undefeated with a record of 4-0, leaving Buffalo fans with little hope for a win.

In a game full of interceptions and giveaways, it looked as though the Bills were on their way to a victory as a result their best defensive effort this season. Safety George Wilson's touchdown allowed the Bills to get on the scoreboard first with a score of 7-0 after the first quarter.

Dallas was quick to answer early in the second quarter with a touchdown from tight end Jason Witten. Kicker Nick Folk then brought the score to a 7-7 tie.

Before halftime, Dallas answered Buffalo's 24 yard field goal with one of their own bringing up the score by seven more points. Buffalo led 17-10.

With 20 seconds left in the game, it was Folk's 53 yard field goal that allowed Dallas to come from behind and gain their fifth consecutive win of the regular season.

This was the second time in three home games that Buffalo lost on the last play of the fourth quarter. The final score was 24-25.

The Buffalo Bills will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at 1 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 4 at home.
