Journals/Articles

• Chronicle of Higher Education:  The Chronicle is the academic newspaper of choice for many in higher education. Learn about what is going on in other colleges and universities. Required a username/password for access. Call the reference desk at 673-3222 for more information.
• Education Research Complete:  This database offers one of the largest and most complete collections of full text education journals and covers scholarly research and information relating to all area of education from early childhood to higher education, and educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing.  Education Research Complete also covers areas of curriculum instruction as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues.
• ERIC:  Contains annotated references to educational materials issued in the monthly  Resources in Education (RIE) and to journal articles issued in the monthly Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE).
• ERIC Documents:  Search the full text of ERIC documents (ED numbers). Only ERIC Level One Documents are available in full text.
• Professional Development Collection: Provides a highly specialized collection of electronic information especially for professional educators, professional librarians and education researchers.  Includes full text for the Chronicle of Higher Education.

• Gale Virtual Reference Library:  A database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.
• Grolier Online Passport:  This database includes articles from the Encyclopedia Americana, the Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and the New Book of Knowledge. It has dictionary entries, recommended websites, and selected lesson plans.  A link to the Grolier Online Kids version is also provided. 
• Oxford Reference: Includes over 175 subject reference works.
