Online Databases

Oxford Music Online (NEW gateway for Grove Music Online)
Oxford Music Online is a new gateway that offers users the ability, for the first time ever, to access and cross-search the vast resources of Oxford's music reference in one location. The cornerstone of Oxford Music Online, Grove Music Online, has been completely redesigned with a number of functional enhancements and new content.

Naxos Music Library
Naxos Music Library provides access to over 75,000 tracks and more than 5,000 CDs with over 2,500 composers represented. The library offers the complete Naxos, Marco polo and Da Capo catalogues as well as Jazz and World music and educational products.

DRAM (formerly Database of Recorded American Music)
A not-for-profit resource providing CD quality audio, complete and original liner notes and essays from New World Records, Composers Recordings, Inc. (CRI) and other important labels. The main focus of the database is to provide access to 20th-century American music that is not otherwise readily available in recorded format.

Online periodical Indexes

The Music Index Online (via EBSCOhost - new provider! )
A subject-author guide to periodical literature from over 800 international music journals and magazines. The online version indexes articles from 1975 to the present,covering a wide range of music topics in both the scholarly and popular arenas. Also included are book and recording reviews, first performances, and obituaries.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (via EBSCOhost - new provider!)
An abstracted bibliography of scholarly music writings published worldwide. Contains entries in over 300 languages, with most citations abstracted in English. Over 700 scholarly journals are indexed, as well as dissertations, Festschriften, articles in books, conference proceedings, and videos of scholarly interest.
