 Student Status & Tuition

  1. SUNY Fredonia Undergraduate students, use Per Credit Hour SCHEDULE A.
  2. SUNY Fredonia Graduate degree or permanent certification students (curriculum code begins with 6 or 7) and eligible to register at Fredonia, use Per Credit Hour SCHEDULE B.
  3. Visiting Students:

A. Visiting Undergraduate Students - must submit with this registration a statement from home college or university confirming class level at the end of the Spring Semester 2011.

  1. Students with Undergraduate status - USE SCHEDULE A
  2. Non-matriculated (non-degree) - SEE #3 BELOW

B. Visiting Graduate Students

  1. Students with Graduate Degree status or enrolled at home college or university in a Permanent Teacher Certification Program - USE SCHEDULE B
  2. Non-matriculated (non-degree) graduate students are charged by the level of the course. 
  3. All non-degree (non-matriculated) students (Fredonia or visiting)
    1. Undergraduates, taking: 100-400 level courses, USE SCHEDULE A
    2. Graduates, taking: 500-600 level courses, USE SCHEDULE B

Tuition and Fees Per Credit Hour: To calculate the "course fee," multiply the number of credit hours for each course by the appropriate "fee per credit hour" (see Tuition and Fee schedule below). Add all course fees to determine the total balance due.
SCHEDULE A UNDERGRADUATE N.Y.S. Resident = $263.60 (Tuition $207.00 + Fees $56.60) Non-State Resident = $614.60 (Tuition $558.00 + Fees $56.60) SCHEDULE B GRADUATE N.Y.S. Resident = $405.60 (Tuition $349.00 + Fees $56.60) Non-State Resident = $630.60 (Tuition $574.00 + Fees $56.60)
Please Note: Tuition waivers may only be applied toward the tuition charge. *RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE by the State University of New York Board of Trustees prior to the start of school. NOTE: Full-time rates do not apply for Summer or J-Term semesters; tuition is calculated at the part-time per credit hour rate. Payment in full at time of registration is strongly encouraged to ensure that you maintain your enrollment in the course; courses will be dropped for nonpayment prior to the start of Summer Sessions. According to SUNY policy, no student is allowed to re-register for future semesters until all tuition, fees and other current financial liabilities have been paid. Payments can be made online through Your Connection with MasterCard, VISA, or personal check (made payable to SUNY Fredonia) or in the Student Accounts Office on the first floor of Williams Center. You may not defer payment of amount due.

Fee Payment Information Note: Tuition and Fee Schedules are subject to change without notice.   The "Course Request and Fee Payment" section must be completed correctly and fees paid in full for your registration to be processed.   Multiply the number of credit hours for each course by the appropriate "fee per credit hour" to arrive at the "course fee." (See status and schedule above.) Add all course fees to arrive at the total fee due.   Check or money order for full payment should be made payable to "STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AT FREDONIA." You may not defer payment of amount due.* Deferment based on summer TAP benefits will not be considered.   *Waiver of Tuition: If you are presenting a valid cooperating teacher Tuition Waiver Certificate in lieu of cash payment toward tuition, attach certificate and payment for balance of tuition and fees. If you have been authorized for other types of tuition waiver (e.g. Graduate Assistant, Employee, etc.) attach to your registration form an explanatory statement and payment for balance of tuition and fees. Refund Schedule: The College Fee is not refundable after the start of May Term, Summer Extended, Summer I or Summer II. Tuition, Student Services and Program Fee refunds are based on the day that the Office of the Registrar records the drop. It is the student's obligation to notify the Registrar. Notifying the course instructor is not valid for purposes of tuition refund. Tuition and Fee refunds are based on the week or day of the drop (see schedule below). The first week ends on Friday of the week the course begins. If the course begins on Thursday, the second day (Friday) is the end of the first week.
