Ensemble Audition Information
One need not be a music major to audition for any ensemble. Only 2 ensembles, All College Band and University Chorus, do not require an audition.
All Music Majors enrolled in curricular lessons are required to audition for ensemble placement.
Choral Auditions (Spring 2010)

For Fredonia Chamber Singers | College Choir | Women's Chorus
Mid-year choral auditions are held on an as needed basis, during the first evening of classes. Auditions will be held in studio 2149. Sign-up sheets will posted on the door.
Auditions will include vocalizations (scales) to determine range and voice quality, and a sight reading exercise.

The School of Music at the State University of New York at Fredonia has FOUR outstanding choirs in which you may participate:
- THE FREDONIA CHAMBER SINGERS, Dr. Donald P. Lang, Director (Meets MWF, 3:00 - 3:50 p.m.; and Tuesday & Thursday, 2:30 - 3:20 p.m.; audition required)
- THE FREDONIA COLLEGE CHOIR, Dr. Gerald T. Gray, Director (Meets MWF, 3:00 - 3:50 p.m.; and Tuesday & Thursday, 2:30 - 3:20 p.m.; audition required)
- THE FREDONIA WOMEN'S CHORUS, Dr. Gwen Detwiler, Director (Meets MWF, 3:00 - 3:50 p.m.; and Tuesday & Thursday, 2:30 - 3:20 pm; audition required)
- THE FREDONIA UNIVERSITY CHORUS, Dr. Barbara Brinson, Director (Meets MWF 3:00 - 3:50 p.m.; NO audition required)
All students are invited to audition regardless of major!
