Fredonia Summer Camps & Programs
Castleman Quartet Program
(June 5 - July 23, 2016)
Each seven-week participant learns "from scratch" and performs at The Quartet Program
one Concerto movement, 2 contrasting Bach movements, or the equivalent along with
two string quartets and a Sonata.
Fredonia Summer Music Festival
(June 26 - July 2, 2016)
Open to high school music students (grades 9 - 12), the Fredonia Summer Music Festival
continues its tradition of excellence while expanding to include a new Honors Solo Vocal Camp for students interested in further developing their skills as a solo classical vocalist.
The Band Camp is open to instrumental music students (brass, winds, and percussion) with performance
opportunities in large ensembles, chamber music, jazz and more. Students in both camps
will attend daily musicianship classes, participate in master classes, attend special
evening performances, and have time for individual practice and recreation. Together,
the two camps offer students outstanding quality and exceptional value.
- Music Education Summer Workshops
The School of Music at Fredonia offers a variety of two to five day courses for practicing
teachers, graduate students, and preservice teachers.
NYSSSA - Choral Studies
(July 3 - 30, 2016)

with other talented students and a superb artistic faculty during four weeks of intensive
vocal two and musical instruction at the School of Choral Studies.
Art of Improvisation
(July 31 - August 5, 2016)
