Fredonia Summer Camps & Programs

  • Fredonia Summer Music Festival (June 28-July 4, 2009)
    Open to high school and middle school music students, the Fredonia Summer Music Festival offers a friendly and relaxed camp setting for musical growth through performance in chamber ensembles and special topic workshops. Instruments include brass, winds, and percussion.
    Update: The middle school portion of the 2009 Summer Music Festival is canceled due to lack of instrumentation.  The high school portion of the Festival will go on as scheduled.  Students currently enrolled in grades 7 and 8 may register for the Summer Music Festival.
  • NYSSSA - Choral Studies (July 5 - August 1, 2009)
    Experience the joy of singing, the thrill of performing, and the power of choral music with other talented students and a superb artistic faculty during four weeks of intensive vocal two and musical instruction at the School of Choral Studies.
  • Quartet Program (June 14 - August 2, 2009)
    Each seven-week participants learns "from scratch" and performs at The Quartet Program one Concerto movement, 2 contrasting Bach movements, or the equivalent along with two string quartets and a Sonata, - ideal preparation for college auditions or solo competitions.
  • Music for People (August 2 - 7, 2009)
    Join Music for People and an extraordinary group of advanced and professional musicians as you explore the Art of Improvisation with the kind of commitment, nuance, and profundity found in fine classical ensemble playing and the best jazz, rock and world music combos.
  • International Music Institute of Leipzig
    Experience German playing traditions primarily through chamber music, orchestral and other applied studies. Combined with concert performance, master classes, private lessons, concert attendance, & guided tours you will visit & perform in the cities and towns of Saxony and Thuringia while immersing in their rich 350 year music heritage. A conducting symposium will also be available.
