We invite you to audition for one of the country's most distinguished music schools.
Since this is a large music school on a relatively small campus, the arts atmosphere is vibrant. So is the learning environment, as seven tracks of study are available to the music major.
A solo audition in your major performance medium is required for admission; applicants to the School of Music must also be accepted by the University's Office of Admissions.
Individuals interested in auditioning and applying for admission to an Undergraduate program need to:
- Apply to SUNY Fredonia through the Office of Admissions.
- Submit an Audition Request form (including Applicant Information section) with the non-refundable audition fee ($25 for on-campus, $50 for off-campus auditions).
- Submit TWO (2) confidential letters of recommendation (click to download PDF Form) completed by your teachers (preferably music teachers), returned to you or the School of Music directly in sealed envelopes, with the evaluators' signatures across the seals. Letters should be mailed to Auditions Coordinator, SUNY Fredonia School of Music, Fredonia, NY 14063.
Those interested in the B.F.A. Musical Theatre degree program will find information and audition applications at the Department of Theatre & Dance.
