Purpose

To give American Indian students the tools and resources they need to learn and succeed.

Eligibility

Graduating High School Senior, or a student pursuing undergraduate studies; 14+ ACT; Native American/Alaskan Native descent; will attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university or a vocational technical school as a full time student.

General Information

Undergraduate scholarship awarded for one school year only; Recipients must reapply each year; Recipients chosen by a national selection committee based on overall assessment. Application may be downloaded from web site, must be submitted by U.S. mail in one packet - only transcripts may be sent separately. Finalists eligible to be reviewed for AIEF's Memorial Scholarships.

$2,000 for the school year

April 4, 2008.

Complete Signed/Dated Application; Official High School Transcripts; SAT or ACT Scores; Copy of Admission Letter; CIB or other documentation of tribal affiliation; Photo; Essay (meeting outline provided.)
