Purpose

The American Indians Committee of National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, awards scholarships to help Native American students of any age, any tribe, in any state striving to get an education. Bases of awards are financial need, academic achievement.

Eligibility

All applicants must be Native American, be in financial need, and have a 3.0 grade point average, no exceptions; No restriction on areas of study; Students may be in vocational training or college at undergraduate or graduate level; Undergraduate students given preference.

General Information

Incomplete applications will be discarded. Award sent directly to the school. To receive application, student must specify Frances Crawford Marvin Scholarship and send self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Awards

Vary depending upon return of the endowment, but is a substantial amount.

Required Documentation

Complete Application; Letter with Family History, Financial Status, Education Objective; Proof of Indian Blood; Official Transcript; Three Letters of Recommendation; Self Addressed, Stamped Envelope if reply requested.
