Purpose

CTD seeks to improve the quality of life for Indian people by providing scholarships for high achieving American Indians in fields critical to the economic, social, environmental, educational, and business development of Indian Communities.

Eligibility

Application Form required. May be entering freshmen, undergraduate or graduate students,doctoral or postdoctoral candidates; At least 1/4 degree Indian blood and Member of a "U.S. tribe"; Attend a two or four-year accredited college or university on a full-time basis; Maintain a high GPA; High ACT/SAT scores; and apply to all other funding sources.

General Information

Not need-based; Scholarships awarded on merit to students who have clear goals and will most likely improve the lives of Indian people; Applications read and ranked by the Board of Directors.(CTD was formerly called the Native American Scholarship Fund.)

Complete Application Packet, Including Certificate of Indian Blood; Essay; Three Letters of Recommendation; Financial Need Analysis form; Official Transcripts; Copy of Standardized Test Scores and Applications to Other Financial Aid Sources; Copy of Letter of Admission.
