Purpose

Established in 1996, Native Vision makes annual college scholarships of $5,000 to outstanding American Indian young people with a commitment to education, athletics and leadership.

Eligibility

High School Senior; Enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe; Admitted to an accredited community college or four-year undergraduate program for Fall 2007; Demonstrate sustained involvement in the community, extracurricular and/or athletic activities, and an applied concern for American Indians community; 3.0 GPA.

General Information

A competitive national application process, reviewed by Selection Committee; Winners announced at the Native Vision Camp in June 2008. Native Vision - A Healthy Future for Native Youth - sponsors Native Vision camp for youth from across the country, professional/collegiate athletes, and health experts.

Awards

Two (2) $5,000 Scholarships.

Friday, May 2, 2008. 5:00 p.m. EDT.

Required Documentation

Complete Application with (2) Letters of Reference; Tribal documentation or CIBC; High School Transcript; Essay (200 words) explaining future goals, how your goals relate to continued involvement in American Indian communities, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your dreams.
