Purpose

To provide financial incentives to insure Oneida members an opportunity to pursue post secondary education through a certificate or college degree program from an accredited institution.

Eligibility

Must be an enrolled Oneida Indian Nation member, maintain a GPA of 2.0; proof of course completion and grades required to be eligible for future scholarships. Certificate programs and short term seminars must be related to educational success or directly related to career advancement or retainment.

General Information

Must apply for BIA and NYS Indian Aid. Withdrawal prior to completion results in return of scholarship money. A one term probationary period is allowed to raise GPA. Personal awards to offset incidental expenses are issued at the beginning of term and at the midpoint of the term.

Awards

Awards will be sent directly to the college, university or institution.

Deadlines

Revolving application process; Application must be submitted before term ends.
