Purpose
|
The
Intertribal Timber Council is dedicated to supporting American Indian and
Alaska Native students pursuing higher education in the natural resources
by sponsoring a scholarship in honor of Truman D. Picard.
|
Eligibility
|
Pursuing
higher education to study Natural Resources; High school student
graduating in 2007 or student currently attending an institution of
higher education; Enrolled member of federally recognized tribe or Alaska
Native Corporation as established by the U.S. government.
|
General Information
|
Must
demonstrate commitment to education, community and culture, academic
merit, financial need, and interest in Natural Resources.
|
Awards
|
Graduating
High School Seniors $1,500 each
Currently Enrolled College Students $2,000 each
|
Deadlines
|
March
31, 2008: Complete application
must be received by close of business, 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time

Required Documentation
|
Letter
of Application; Resume; Three Letters of Reference; Validated Enrollment
- U.S. Federally Recognized Tribe or Native Alaska Corporation; Letter of
Acceptance or Enrollment in area of Natural Resources; Transcript.
