Purpose

The fund seeks to promote academic achievement and success for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students pursuing an education in business and a career in the gaming, tourism, financial and hospitality industries.

Eligibility

Enrolled member of federal or state recognized AI/AN tribe; Will be attending a U.S. accredited college or university as full-time degree seeking junior or senior; 3.0 GPA; Junior or Senior standing for 08-09 academic year; Demonstrated character, personal merit, commitment; Meet federal Pell grant eligibility criteria.

General Information

Evaluated on academic ability by GPA, class rank, curriculum rigor in addition to leadership, honors, essay, etc. Complete the 2008-2009 AIGCS Undergraduate Scholarship Application, available on website January 2008; complete application provides eligibility for other AIGC-administered undergraduate scholarships.

Awards

(2) $2,500 awards to rising undergraduates and potential graduate students in the 3rd and 4th year of a baccalaureate program.
