Purpose
|
The Seneca Diabetes Foundation has established the Geraldine Memmo Scholarship to assists a Seneca Nation student pursuing a college or university degree in the health or social services professions. It is the hope of the Seneca Diabetes Foundation that the student receiving this scholarship will use his or her education and training to benefit the Seneca people, especially in regard to the fight against diabetes, which affects approximately 50 percent of the population.

Eligibility
|
Enrolled SNI member pursuing a college or university degree in health or social services professions.

General Information
|
Awarding the Geraldine Memmo Scholarship will be based primarily on the student's financial need, but also on involvement in community and cultural activities, with an interest in research on Seneca/Native American history and/or heritage and a focus on improving the quality of life for the Seneca people. Students may apply for more than one of the scholarships available through the Seneca Diabetes Foundation.
