Purpose

The Native American Journalists Association awards scholarships annually to Native American college students majoring in journalism or mass communications.

Eligibility

NAJA member enrolled in an accredited school and studying journalism and/or communications; Member of a federally or state recognized tribe.

General Information

Scholarship designed to cover books, tuition, and other education costs for NAJA members. NAJA student membership are $10 (high school) and $20 (college.) Membership and Scholarship Applications available on web site.

Awards

Range from $500 - $5,000 depending upon availability of funds.

June 1, 2010.
