Purpose
|
To provide financial assistance to eligible Native Americans for study in approved undergraduate programs at institutions of higher education in New York State. |
Eligibility
|
Residents who are officially enrolled members of the St. Regis Mohawks, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca Nation of Indians, Tonawanda Band of Senecas, Tuscaroras; the Shinnecock and Poospatuck; and children of such enrolled members. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average for each semester. |
General Information
|
Student must submit a request for funding each semester. Award check is sent directly to college. The maximum total awards per student are: $2,000 for two-year college students; $4,000 for four year college students. |
Awards
|
Current: $500 per semester for full-time students; $42 per credit hour for part time students. |
