Purpose |
Since 1922, AAIA has been dedicated to helping Native American people and communities meet challenges by developing new and creative ways to focus resources where they are most needed today. |
Eligibility |
Full time American Indian/Alaska Native students, based upon financial need and proof of 1/4 degree Indian blood from a federally recognized tribe. |
General Information |
This scholarship offers amounts of $100-$400 for acute, temporary emergencies (medical emergency, car emergency, day care, death in family, etc). This scholarship is available during both fall and spring semesters only. Students may not apply for funding due to circumstances which occured during the summer. Tuition, books, computers and expected expenses are not considered emergencies. Students may receive only one scholarship per academic year. If you are a recipient of one of our other scholarships, you are not eligible for emergency aid. Contact Lisa Wyzlic to find out if your situation qualifies as an emergency. If awarded, turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. |
