Purpose

To provide supplemental scholarships to Indian students who are enrolled members of one of the 25 USET member tribes.

Eligibility

Must be an enrolled member of a USET member tribe accepted to or enrolled in a post secondary institution; with satisfactory scholastic standing; and demonstrated need for financial assistance.

General Information

USET consists of 26 member tribes, which include: Seneca Nation of Indians, Salamanca and Irving NY; Cayuga Nation, Versailles NY; Oneida Indian Nation of NY, Oneida NY; St. Regis Mohawks, Hogansburg NY.  See website for additional members.

Awards

The USET Education Committee will award all selected undergraduate applicants an equal amount in any award period, in increments of no less than $750. In addition, the USET Education Committee will award all selected graduate applicants an equal amount in any award period, in increments of no less than $1,000.

Complete Application; Verification of Tribal Enrollment; Acceptance Letter or Proof of Current College Enrollment; Most Recent SAR or Household 1040 Form; Three Letters of Recommendation; Transcripts; Personal Letter Stating Use of Scholarship Monies if Awarded.
