Availability

July 15-22, 2008, Mt. Evans Outdoor Education Lab School, Evergreen, Colorado. Total of 21 participants, 3 selected from the North East Region.

Eligibility

Incoming 10 - 12th grade Native students interested in the preservation, protection, and enhancement of natural resources; In good physical condition, as physical activities are part of the Practicum.

Information

The Practicum is designed to provide an opportunity for hands-on experience in natural resource management and to encourage youth to seek degrees and careers in the natural resource fields. The Society believes in re-awakening traditional values of Indian-to-environment relationships needed to make effective and sound management decisions.
