Availability

Four participants selected for this 3-month summer internship; Two students will be placed in each SNI Health Department located in Allegany and Cattaraugus.

Eligibility

Enrolled SNI high school member pursuing a college or university degree in health or social services professions.

Information

Awarding the Summer Internships will be based primarily on the student's academic standing (must have a "C" average or higher), financial need, but also on involvement in community and cultural activities, as well as personal assets such as fortitude, leadership, integrity, and a focus on improving the quality of life for the Seneca people.

Benefits/Award

Four Awards of $1,000 each; Gain experience while working in a Health Department.

Required Documentation

Complete Application Form (available on website); Documentation of Tribal Enrollment; Letter of Support from Teacher/Academic Advisor; Copy of Most Recent Transcripts and Proof of Academic Enrollment and/or Registration Required.
