Eligibility

Students from all academic disciplines and all academic institutions are encouraged to apply.

Information

To help defray costs for research leading to the completion of a Masters thesis or Ph.D. dissertation; the subject should be germane to some aspect of Native American community development. Must submit a prospectus indicating nature of research and its relevance to tribal community development and a 1-page budget with narrative explaining each item.

Benefits/Award

Number and amount of awards may vary; in the past, up to five awards of $1,000 each.

Deadline

March 20, 2008.

Required Documentation

A prospectus (not to exceed 2 type written pages); Budget and Narrative (1 page); Personal Vitae; Letter of Support from thesis/dissertation chair with contact info for follow-up.
