Eligibility |
Native American students, 16-18 years of age, who are planning to enter a health career; To accompany the students, AAIP will select counselors, ages 21 and older, to serve as role models and chaperones. Native American medical and health professional students preferred but not required. |
Information |
NNAYI is designed to prepare American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) high school students for admission to college and professional school and to encourage them to pursue a career in the areas of health science and biomedical research. Curriculum is presented in a series of lectures, interactive workshops, and field trips. Students will learn about various health professions, college and medical school admission process, financial aid resources, and health care issues affecting AI/AN communities. |
