Availability

Fellowship supports a one-year residency at Dartmouth College, September 1 - August 31 for scholars who are expected to complete the dissertation during the fellowship; must have completed all other to Ph.D. requirements.

Eligibility

U.S. Citizens planning careers in college or university teaching; taking PhD in any area or discipline taught in the undergraduate Arts and Sciences curriculum at Dartmouth.  Students who were born in Canada and eligible for the Title IV Federal Student Aid under the jurisdiction of the Jay Treaty of 1794, subsequent treaties and U.U Immigration Law are also encouraged to apply.

Information

Supports graduate scholars for a year-long residency at Dartmouth and provides an opportunity for scholars who plan a career in higher education to finish their dissertations.  In addition, Fellows will participate in classroom activities with scholars who are dedicated to undergraduate teaching.

Benefits/Award

$25,000 stipend; office space; library privileges; and a $2,500 research assistance fund.
