Eligibility
|
Established for an artist who wishes to cultivate new knowledge and skills, to improve existing abilities, and excel in creative expression. The SAR Indigenous Writer-in-Residence fellowship is for writers, the Dobkin fellowship is for Native women artists, the King fellowship is intended for artists from the southwest. All other fellowships are open generally to Native artists.

Information
|
The Indian Arts Research Center at the School for Advanced Research offers three artist-in-residence fellowships to support artists in realizing artistic goals in growth, enhancement, excellence and achievement. During the residency, artists engage in special projects that push their personal artistic boundaries.

Benefits/Award
|
Financial support; Residence and Studio for the duration of the fellowship; Public reception and exhibition of work; One piece created during project will be added to the School's collection.

Deadline
|
January 15th for all fellowships.

|
Complete Application Packet, including details about work, background training, artist statement and a well-developed proposal for a project to complete during the fellowship.
