New coordinator helps students with disabilities

Adam Hino has been hired as coordinator of Disability Support Services for Students at SUNY Fredonia. He is responsible for providing academic accommodations to students who have disabilities. Visit the office's website to find out more about what it does.

An authority on technology that assists people with disabilities, as well as interpreting diagnostic evaluations of individuals who may have disabilities, Mr. Hino earned his master's degree in counselor education from St. Bonaventure University in 2006. Prior to joining Fredonia, he was a counselor/intern for disabled student services at Erie Community College.

Experienced as a presenter of workshops on disability awareness, Mr. Hino replaces Carolyn Boone, who accepted a position at Tompkins Cortland Community College.

The SUNY Fredonia DSS office is located in the Learning Center, on the fourth floor of Reed Library. Mr. Hino's telephone number is 673-3270, and he is available to provide information to faculty and staff, as well as students.
