"1826 Society" established to recognize donors to the Fredonia College Foundation
Friday, March 25, 2011

The “1826 Society,” a new giving level that recognizes donors who contribute between $2,500 and $4,999 and also honors the year Fredonia Academy was founded, has been established by the Fredonia College Foundation at SUNY Fredonia.

The President’s Associates category, which previously encompassed gifts from $1,000 to $4,999, will continue to recognize gifts between $1,000 and $2,499. The Fredonia Society continues to honor donors who give between $5,000 and $9,999 a year.

“We have seen a growing number of donors increasing their level of giving in order to provide greater assistance to SUNY Fredonia students,” said Dr. Dave Tiffany, executive director of the Fredonia College Foundation. “The 1826 Society will recognize those increased contributions.”

SUNY Fredonia, which has a rich tradition of teaching, was established in 1826 as Fredonia Academy by the citizens of Fredonia.
