Shabbat Dinner to be held this Friday
Thursday, April 11, 2013

A Shabbat dinner will be held on Friday, April 12, at 5 p.m. in the Alumni House. The dinner will be themed around the foods and customs of Ethiopian Jews. It is open to anyone who is interested in learning about different cultures and backgrounds, and would especially appeal to culture clubs, as well as History, Education and Religious Studies majors.

The event is free and open to the public, although tickets are required and can be obtained by contacting Brittany Fischer at (516) 589-2129 or Fisc3266@fredonia.edu.

The event is co-sponsored by the Student Association groups Hillel, which is dedicated to promoting awareness of the culture, heritage, and traditions of Judaism, and the Black Student Union, which seeks to establish an understanding of the African American culture and extend open arms to students, faculty and staff of all ethnic backgrounds.
