Days of Service allow students to give back to the community

SUNY Fredonia will kick off a new community service project called Days of Service, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 2, and running through Saturday, Nov. 9. All students, faculty, and staff are welcomed to join in the event and will be able to participate in array of community service activities, including raking leaves, collecting food items for local pantries, and assisting senior citizens at local nursing homes.

For a complete visit of community service projects, visit www.fredonia.edu/studentaffairs.

Last year, the "Day of Service" was introduced as part of the inauguration celebration of new SUNY Fredonia President Virginia Horvath. Due to its success, campus leaders decided to make it an annual event for the month of November.

For more details on the event and how to sign up for one of the community service activities, contact Joyce Smith at joyce.smith@fredonia.edu or Erin Mroczka at erin.mroczka@fredonia.edu.
