"NINE" to premiere at Rosch Recital Hall

Distinguished Professor James Piorkowski

Distinguished Professor James Piorkowski will present works from his new album, "NINE," on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to hear the complete performance of Professor Piorkowski’s new album of original guitar works, which is slated to be released this fall by Centaur Records. "The inspiration for these nine compositions includes the influences of love, Spain, historical events, Biblical imagery, and Jimi Hendrix," said Professor Piorkowski.

His works have been featured internationally and performed on numerous recordings, and Professor Piorkowski has written many pieces for guitar in both solo and chamber settings.

Professor Piorkowski will be joined by Dr. Natasha Farny, cello; Dr. Angela Haas, soprano; Dr. Anne Kissel-Harper, piano; Daniel Ihasz, baritone, and the Fredonia Chamber Choir, with Dr. Gerald Gray conducting.

This event is free and open to the public.
