Women's Swimming and Diving beats RIT

Fredonia defeated Rochester Institute of Technology, 176-122, in women's swimming and diving Saturday.

Ellie Brion (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua) won three individual events and was part of a winning relay which swam as an exhibition.

Sam Rokos (Delanson, N.Y. / Duanesburg) and Larissa Dobson (Hamburg, N.Y. / Eden) were double individual winners. Rokos also finished first in an exhibition and was part of a winning exhbition relay. Dobson was also on a winning relay.

Stephanie Rosa (Phillipsburg, N.J. / Phillipsburg) won two individual events and was part of a winning relay.

Meghan Bartlett (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) provisionally qualified for the NCAA zone meet in 1-meter springboard diving for the second time this season. She also was the 3-meter winner.

On the men's side, Jake Hewitt (Duanesburg, N.Y. / Schalmont) won three individual events and was part of a winning relay Saturday vs. Rochester Institute of Technology. Hewitt, a freshman, was first in the 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard butterfly, and the 500-yard freestyle while also swimming a leg on Fredonia's winning 200-yard medley relay.

Will Baker (East Amherst, N.Y. / Williamsville North) and Adam Clouthier (Fairport, N.Y. / Fairport) won two individual events and one relay each.
