Musicians to share insight about their craft
Saturday, January 23, 2016

Denny Laine, an original member of the Moody Blues and an integral part of Paul McCartney’s former band, Wings, will join Fredonia alumna Mary Ramsey and John Lombardo, members of 10,000 Maniacs, at an informal discussion on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m., in McEwen Hall Room 202.

“It will be sort of a storyteller’s night; they will perform songs, talk about their histories,” said Armand Petri, head of the Music Industry program. The session is free and open to the public.

This will be the second campus visit for Mr. Laine, who joined Badfinger guitarist/vocalist Joey Molland and Hollies’ guitarist/vocalist/composer Terry Sylvester at a similar gathering in 2014. Ms. Ramsey, a vocalist with a degree in Music Performance at Fredonia, and Mr. Lombardo, guitarist and a founding member of 10,000 Maniacs, have also appeared at Fredonia.

The Music Industry program is currently working with Laine on a musical that he is creating.
