Employee Zumba, yoga classes resume
Monday, August 21, 2017

The start of the fall semester at Fredonia also signals the return of twice-weekly employee Zumba and yoga classes offered by Fredonia’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Zumba sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday, from noon to 1 p.m., in the Dods Hall gymnasium. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sneakers and comfortable clothing. Classes begin a few minutes after the hour and conclude a few minutes before 1 p.m. to accommodate time to walk to/from class and change for class or return to work. The first dance fitness session is Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Yoga will be held on Tuesday in the Hemingway Hall Aerobic Center, located in the basement of the residence hall, and on Friday, in the Dods Hall dance studio. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga matt, water bottle and comfortable clothing. As with Zumba, sessions will start a few minutes after noon and conclude shortly before 1 p.m. to accommodate time to walk to/from class and change for class/return to work. The first session is Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Both programs, to continue throughout the semester, are free and open to all employees.

The full EAP schedule, including dates and other details for the book club, healthy cooking demonstrations, Fall Soup & Salad Day and Path to Wellness Series, will be announced. News blasts to highlight each of these programs in more detail will be sent.

For more information, contact Susan Murphy, EAP coordinator, at 673-3586 or via email.
